Church's leather & Canvas Sneakers

Church's, the eponymous shoemaker, was founded in 1873 by Mr Thomas Church, who's family tree can be traced back as far as 1675. In 1881, in a bold break with tradition, they were the first to introduce differently shaped right and left shoes, in a variety of widths and materials and un-heard of half sizes. In 1999, Church's was acquired by the Prada Group, and as well as more traditional offerings, it introduced a range of contemporary and seasonal styles.

Now, Church's has just unveiled the Mirfield, a minimal sneaker combining the brands inherent appreciation of heritage, and a more forward thinking modern aesthetic. Available in calfskin, suede and gaberdine cotton, it features a raised rubber sole and clean construction. Each pair is made with premium details, and represents the brand's rigorous dedication to craftsmanship. I'm particularly fond of the black calfskin shoe, which is a strong contender on the minimal premium sneaker scene.

The Mirfield sneaker, as well as the rest of the range, is available here
