Raey
I've long been a fan of Matchesfashion.com who's team offers a carefully curated collection of some of the most wearable, exciting menswear around. Now, adding to an edit of over 400 established and emerging designers, this eponymous e-tailer has launched Raey, an exclusive in-house line of unbranded, well crafted separates. Fusing clean silhouettes and luxury fabrics, Raey is perfectly in line with a trend for easy, laid back living. Led by 38-year-old creative director Rachael Proud ("Ray" was her nickname as a child), previously of Kristopher Kane and Topshop, the collection represents a long standing association with high end fashion.
Quality, contemporary classics should form the core of any mans wardrobe, and as Simon Chilvers, men's style director at Matchesfashion.com puts it, "Raey is about bringing together a concise edit of wardrobe ideas, designed to balance fashion's current mood with core menswear pieces." Comprising a predominantly neutral palette, the collection includes outwear, shirts, trousers and shorts. The tie-dye cotton sweatshirt and grey suede biker jacket are both on my wish list.
Starting from £65, shop my picks and the rest of the collection at matchesfashion.com
