Stand out from the crowd

Print shirts give us a rare opportunity for a little individuality, a way to sand out from the crowd. For the past few seasons we've seen a resurgence in this casual classic, and from botanicals at Haider Ackerman to luxuriously patterned silks at Saint Laurent, prints have become an established menswear staple (though I'm not talking the Hawaiian kind). 

Of course confidence is the key, and on the whole, I'd recommend keeping things simple. Black white and grey will blend easily into anyone's wardrobe and can be paired with more classic pieces. Try mixing with tailored trousers and loafers for a modern take on smart casual. Marni and J.W Anderson offer a more sophisticated slant, and for the brave, try Gucci or Hood By Air. My personal favorite is Our Legacy, which its founder, Mr Christopher Pierro Nyling, describes as being "preppy from a distance".
