WINTER BOOTS

THE EDIT

Suited and booted: it's a phrase every man is familiar with. Indeed a great pair of boots can take you anywhere from the office to the nightclub. The question is, which style to go for. Whilst some men may be able to rock a cowboy boot or a Cuban heel, for the majority of us, this is simply not an option.

When making a choice there are three simple things to consider, the sole, the uppers and the color. A textured pebble grain leather with a thick rubber sole would be perfect for the weekend, but for the office, you're looking for a smart, commute-friendly style, with either a Dainite or leather sole. Whilst suede is best avoided in winter, I would argue that unless the weather is particularly inclement, a darker color (anything from chestnut brown to black) can be a great option.

Here's my pick of the 10 best styles this season.
