CUBITTS X CASELY-HAYFORD

Eyewear collection LC:M

The young British eyewear brand Cubitts have teamed up with father and son duo Joe and Charlie Casely-Hayford to produce an eyewear collecton for Spring/Summer 16. Making its debut as part of the Casely-Hayford show at LC:M the collection includes two new styles in multiple colourways. Cubitts founder Mr Tom Broughton says: "the collaboration has been a hugely enjoyable experience, making full use of our design and production expertise."

Combining modern techniques and traditional craftsmanship each pair is hand made by Cubitts in house team. "Collaborating with Tom Broughton felt very natural because of his attention to detail, the quality of the Cubitts frames and his knack for being able to create something innovative whilst retaining its wearability," say the Caseley-Hayford's. "We could see that a synergy existed between the two brands through a mutual appreciation of craftsmanship, innovation and the discordant energy of London. The design philosophy behind our collaboration was to reflect these influences through the frames.”

To ensure the very highest quality, each piece in the collection goes through 50 stages over six weeks. The "Nesta" a wide 60's frame with unique half-lenses is joined by "Stokey", a more conventional rounded model with subtle retro details. Both styles are available in black and a range of tortoiseshells with tinted lenses in black, pink and green. The collection will be available towards the end of the year.
