NICK FOUQUET: HATMAKER The A-list milliner Nick Fouquet, model-cum-milliner grew up in the South of France and in Florida, and moved to LA in 2008. Initially skeptical, he set up shop in bohemian-chic Venice which he describes as “like the Lower East Side with skaters and surfers.” Foquet soon developed a cult following, hand-making fedora styles worn by the likes of Kate Moss, Madonna and Bob Dylan. “Many are unisex and seasonless,” says Fouquet, who's millienary masterpieces can best be described as Wild West meets Coachella. Among the more statement-making styles for spring/summer 2017 are the Floridian Shaman ($1,850) - a distressed top hat with a French grosgrain band and burgundy velvet wrap - and the Everglade ($1,525), a dark brown Fedora with a cognac alligator band and rabbits foot.
